Welcome!
I’m a therapist at Lotus Counseling and Wellness in Lafayette, LA. I see clients in-person and by teletherapy.
I hold a calm, compassionate, judgment-free space that feels peaceful and positive. You’ll be genuinely heard, as together we untangle the knots that keep you from meaningful progress.
My areas of special focus include:
- OCD: I’m a Certified Exposure and Response Prevention Therapist. I’m also trained in I-CBT for OCD, and treat all OCD subtypes and presentations.
- Marriage Therapy: I help couples with issues including communication and emotion regulation.
- Behavioral Addictions: I help clients break free from compulsive behaviors related to food, spending, gambling, addictive love and affairs, the internet, work, and exercise.
- Mindset Shift: I also help clients shift out of other self-defeating habits, like procrastination, rumination, and chronic resentment.
- Chronic pain: I use pain reprocessing therapy (PRT), to help clients understand and change the brain’s pain response.
- Anxiety disorders: I help those living with social and generalized anxiety, and phobias.

My work is present-focused, action-oriented, and grounded in cognitive behavioral and related therapies. My background as an RN enhances my work as a therapist, as I help clients gain a neurobiological, or brain-based, understanding of their habits—because change begins with awareness. I help clients recognize unhelpful behavior patterns, set manageable goals, and build healthier long-term habits aligned with their core values. I offer faith-based counseling upon request.
While there is value in understanding how the past shapes us, I explore it mainly to guide how we can move forward more effectively. I emphasize practical techniques that support lasting, meaningful, purpose-driven change by helping clients shift from what feels good in the moment to what truly serves them over time.
I utilize CBT, exposure therapies, I-CBT, ACT, DBT, REBT, reality therapy, pain reprocessing therapy and existentialism.
In my free time, I love volunteering to bring therapy dogs to visit nursing homes, hospice patients, and people with special needs. My husband Gus and I enjoy family, friends, food, and community. We attend St. Pius Church, and live in Lafayette with our beloved pups, Bitsy, Finn, and Ollie.
